A long-time favorite with consistently delicious food and great value. I've been coming to Carlucci's for years, even back when it was an old workplace of mine. The food has always been fantastic, and it's a great value. They even have gluten-free and vegetarian options! Highly recommended for the cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious Italian food! If you ask nicely enough they will also sort out your dessert for on route situations if your in a hurry. Bring your own spoon. It's the personal touches
Dined while on a trip to Dunfermline. Found this restaurant by chance and so glad we did. Absolutely deserved 5 star review for Carlucci’s, from start to finish a very enjoyable experience. Service attentive without being overbearing, friendly and courteous. Food was delicious, everything tasted so fresh and was presented in a very appealing way. House wine was very good, we opted for the rose. Definitely recommend this restaurant. PS the complimentary bread sticks were amazing!
We had our lunch at Carlucci during a day trip to Dunfermline. A Pre-theatre menu was available and it only costed 25 for 3 courses. The starters and mains we had were surprisingly good. Loved both the starters - the mussels in a tasty white wine sauce were fresh and juicy, while the fried calamari got crispy batter and the squid rings were still tender in texture. And we ordered pasta for both the mains. The spaghetti carbonara was done well, the sauce was silky and creamy enough while the spaghetti was firm and slightly chewy. And the lasagna was really cheesy and flavourful with the tomato sauce. The tiramisu were less impressive though, it was decent but we had tried better ones around Scotland. Good wine and the waitresses were super friendly.

As for the food—absolutely five stars! While I’ve only visited once, what I had was outstanding. From the fresh, homemade bread onward, everything tasted truly authentic and full of rich, traditional flavors. If the rest of the menu is anything like what I experienced, I can only imagine it’s just as impressive. If you're in Dunfermline and craving great Italian food in a lovely setting, Carlucci is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
Great food and great service! I booked a large table for my wife's birthday and they went above and beyond to help me make it special for her. They went and got banners and balloons for me as I didn't have time on the day of her booking and when we were there, they put us in a nice spot away from rest of restaurant which made it feel more private. We received some beautiful complimentary bread while we waited for starters. I will definitely be back as I'm very happy with everything! Highly recommended!
Went there for an evening meal with friends before going to haunted event nearby. Had a lovely Parmingiana baked dishes and delicious Profiteroles afterwards. We all had a good time. Friendly staff and cleanliness.
Found this restaurant on google maps and so happy that we changed our plans to go here instead of where we originally planned. Staff were very friendly and just the right level of attentiveness. The menu had lots of options and our selections all tasted fantastic. The atmosphere was great and on a Wednesday evening, we did not need to book (I imagine that booking would be advisable on the weekends). If we come back to Dunfermline, this restaurant will be our 1st choice now.
This was my husband, son, and my first time eating here, and what an absolutely amazing experience it was. The food menu is brilliant, as is the drinks menu. There are so many delicious options to choose from. I am vegetarian, and there was a whole vegan menu to choose from, plus so many vegetarian options. I chose the gnocchi sorentina and it was blooming fantastic! Honestly, I wish I was eating it for dinner tonight. Every staff member we spoke with was extremely helpful and made our visit fantastic. So welcoming, and all had big smiles. Will 100% be back!
